Just finished reading " The Granny Cop ". This is an autobiography of Philadelphia police officer Jimmy McGrath. The book covers stories of his time in WWII and his life in the Philadelphia police department in the 60's and the 70's. It's an easy read and I had a hard time putting it down.

It's not often that I do an actual book review, but coming from Philadelphia and knowing quite a few police officers, this one caught my attention. Click for full review here>> https://scryptcomics.wordpress.com/2014/05/06/book-review-the-granny-cop/

Truly Inspiring. While I may be biased about this book since James is my grandfather, I found this book to be very entertaining. I have heard most of the stories before, but some of the details were new to me. My grandfather did not really talk about World War 2 until his later years so reading his experiences in the war and in the US Navy were all very new to me. I was lucky enough to spend a lot of time with him and listen to his stories directly from the source.
